Solid state amplifier Samson SB is twin-brother of our tube Samson. 1300 W monoblock has really limitless dynamics and amazing, highly precise and live sound similar to that of his namesake.

Samson SB embodies longstanding experience of S.A.Lab company creating High End and Top End sound electronics. During the project we were solving many complicated tasks, performing experiments and selecting optimal materials and parts.

The amplifier demonstrates the best audiophile sound and all the solid state advantages including superb dynamics and high damping factor.

Samson SB consists of single end solid state driver with bipolar power supply ±140 V and parallel insulated shutter output repeater on bipolar transistors. Specially for Samson SB we designed and produces interstage coupling transformer. There is no global negative feedback.

As a result such the design has excellent spectrum of single end circuit with amplitude of 80 V RMS and yields live and fluent sound similar to our tube amplifiers along with all the solid state preferences.

Samson SB operates in Class A up to 100 W and further in Class AB for full 1300 W output power.

Due to huge heat sinks Samson SB operates in Class AB having optimal transistor's quiescent current of 180 mA and 3,2 A in total. Noiseless fans activate after crystals temperature exceeds definite level.

Samson SB has both unbalanced and balanced power supplying (rear toggle switch). For the latter the best Samson SB system partner is our Samson separate balanced power supply.

Samson SB's line inputs are balanced and unbalanced. The amplifier has trigger input and three pairs of high quality acoustic binding posts for low, middle and high frequency bands.
